Green chilli, famously known as hari mirch in India, is the heart and soul of Indian food. Gives even bland food a spicy twist. Is one of the easiest plants to grow in your kitchen garden.
Chili seeds are small red or green, ivory peppers. They have a very hot taste and are used to grow chilies. Chili can be cultivated as Kharif and Rabi crops. Additionally, it can be planted at any time. The sowing months for Kharif crops are May to June while for Rabi crops they are September to October. And if you plant them as summer crops then January and February are good. Though you can still sow the seeds right up until the end of March, early sowing gives your Chillies plenty of time to ripen before the end of summer. Chili seeds will start to germinate in 7 to 10 days. Keep the soil moist by spraying water. And it should get enough sunlight. Chilies like a warm, sunny spot, well-drained soil, and regular watering during dry weather. Over-fertilizing can lead to excessive foliage and fewer fruits.
